Lights, cameras, action!

About The Course

Youth having fun as creators is fundamental in our television-style video production classes. We teach videography – in a fun, accessible way – as youth work together on screen and behind-the-scenes to produce real world videos highlighting each other and their interests. Students build on-camera confidence and gain achievement while learning valuable technical and presentation skills using professional equipment and techniques. Students who take this course are eligible to attend our in-person Television School at our professional 1,500 square foot professional Downtown Studio in Jersey City with "4K" digital video cameras, wireless microphones, multi-aspect lighting equipment, and additional production gear with their final screening to friends and family held theater-style.

About The Instructor

As a dad, I know parents are always facing choices on how to best prepare our children for the future and that kids want– need– to be excited by creative learning. Inspired by my son Blake and original work by Sir Ken Robinson, I’m currently on a mission to find what works to create inspired learning to share with other parents, families, educators, and caregivers.

"learning works best when it’s dynamic, fun, & empowering"

I’ve spent the last 8 years actively exploring learning as a father, over 10 years around the world as a professional off-road driving instructor and precision driver, and have created and hosted several television shows on adventure learning – what I’ve found is that learning isn’t one size fits all, and it works best when it’s dynamic, fun, and empowering.
