Ready, Set, Fun! Jersey City Kids Run (2019)

Where can your kids run right across from one of the best views of Manhattan while having fun with the family?

The 5th annual JC Kids Run!

Held from 10 am-2 pm on June 1st, 2019, at Exchange Place in Jersey City, this by-the-Hudson event was a great opportunity for kids from one to 12 years old to try out their running skills while taking part in a variety of accessible sport activities, from a mini-obstacle course to an inflatable bounce-house. All participants also received a t-shirt and a medal, with the fastest runners in each age group awarded.

The JC Kids Run also served to help two additional organizations – from their site:

Soles4Souls – a non-profit social enterprise that creates sustainable jobs and provides relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. JCFamilies and NJCU Athletics Department collected new or lightly worn shoes to benefit the global efforts for soles4soles.

Embrace Kids Foundation – assists families whose children have cancer, sickle cell and other blood disorders in the NJ/NYC metropolitan area. The goal is to address and support spiritual, emotional and financial issues of the kids and their families. All programs and services are free to families and include emergency financial assistance, individualized tutoring, counseling, and inspirational events and holiday parties.
